Lloyd Orr was appointed in 2004 to take care of a full-service comprehensive representation for the then newly formed Namibia Tourism Board.
We were responsible for all of the promotional activities for the destination in the inland areas of South Africa and Botswana. (Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Nelspruit and more) and in that role managed the travel trade interactions and liaison. We provided a dedicated phone line for travel agents and consumer support. Travel Agent’s onsite training, round country travel trade workshops and travel agency educationals.
Lloyd Orr controlled a busy activity plan for all consumer promotions and interaction in our area of responsibility and participated in various relevant consumer exhibitions and other consumer interactions.
PR & Media
Lloyd Orr was responsible for all PR & Communications in South Africa and Botswana and as such executed strategic marketing campaigns both through the travel trade, with incentive activations and joint ventures and to the consumer through in-store activations, digital marketing, social media, viral campaigns, and competitions.
Our media liaison was extensive with regular media trips to Namibia, press conferences and interactions at various events hosted by Namibia Tourism Board.
In Mid 2013 NTB regrettably terminated our decade-long contract after major budget cuts forced them to scale down on spending.
